Call me ***, but I just found out that since August 2012 Netflix has been charging me $8.99 per month for a streaming service that I have never used, didn't know I had, and didn't know anything about. They never sent me so much as a letter or email message explaining the service, how to use it, what movies were available, etc.
Just yesterday I called to complain and asked for my money back.
They told me that they could only refund me for one month, and I had to eat the $8.99 charge for the preceding 21 months. This was unsatisfactory to me so I canceled my entire account even though I have been a loyal member for at least six years, rated over 600 movies, and submitted several reviews.
Monetary Loss: $189.
